In the heart of Amsterdam, two minutes from Dam Square

Our restaurant suggestions

The Spuistraat has a few well known restaurants, They are just a few steps from our frontdoor.

Haesje Claes, original Dutch cuisine

“Haesje Claes” is a restaurant situated in the historical center of Amsterdam, between the Spui and the Dam square, across from the Amsterdam Museum. The restaurant occupies six, epic buildings, in which the original architectural features such as little steps, corridors and hallways all have been preserved. Likewise, the exterior of the building is a beautiful example of traditional Dutch architecture. All chambers are breathing a century old ambiance, perfectly suited for a comfortable and casual lunch or dinner.

Kantjil en de Tijger, indonesian cuisine

Kantjil & de Tijger strives to give its guests that same senang-feeling. The feeling of being at ease, so that we can feel the same.
Take a seat and discover the taste of the rich Indonesian flavours. Our dishes are prepared and presented with care, and are freshly made on a daily basis.

Lungchinno, coffee-to-go

Nice, friendly little coffeehouse, just a few steps from square the Spui. They use their special blend of 100% arabica biological coffeebeans. This coffeehouse is frequented and appriciated by both locals and tourists. It’s always a treat for me to order a caffé latte and a croissant in the morning and then enjoy the buzz of the city on one of the benches at the Spui.
